Well, this is a good one-disk collection but leaves you wanting so much more.

The retrospective on the Warrior is actually pretty good. It maps out his career pretty well enough; it documents his main feuds (all except the Undertaker which seemed missing). It's a good disk and certainly evokes a feeling of nostalgia. However, as you know from the title, this isn't a flattering lookback at the career of one of the most intense WWE superstars. No, this is a mix of documentary with satire. Some of the guys on this disk (DiBiase, Heenan et. al) are just here to poke fun at the Warrior. It has to be said, in context it works better than I'm making it sound. Some things, indeed, need making fun of... but strangely enough for a disk that was here to take fun of the Warrior, it is still surprisingly complimentary towards his work. There is lots to love if you're a Warrior fan here, strangely enough.

The best section of the disk is completely and utterly the section on Warriors promos. Perfect gold.

There are extras, too, which is good. The Warriors' best match against Randy Savage is included here. His great Steel Cage compromise against Rick Rude is also included. Hogan's loss at Wrestlemania 6. And Warriors debut. The Honkey Tonk match is a waste of time but if you've got a few seconds to spare for disk running time... and they also include interviews that didn't make the main feature as extras too.

All of this adds up to a four star disk package, except that there's just not enough. The disk could have been a two disk package and it would have benefitted greatly from this. I also have to say that whilst the Warrior is not the most amazing ring technician ever, he had more matches than just these five on the extras section that make it worth watching. This is almost the disk Warrior fans needed. I'm grateful enough for its' existence... but there could have been a lot more done here.

The Warrior was a great character for a kid such as myself growing up in the 80s and 90s.

I was always an NWA/WCW fan, but I watched the WWF none the less.

This DVD is what a lot of WWE DVDs are, revisionist history designed to bury their subject/put a WWE spin on wrestling history.

While the Warrior was no technician, he acomplished everything that character needed to do.

The comments on this DVD seem somewhat rehearsed, and in the case of Ric Flair, childish.

The Ultimate Warrior was one of the most iconic wrestlers in the 80s and 90s, and I remember when I first got into WWE my first PPV was WrestleMania IV, and I will never forget the the main event, Title Vs Title, Warrior Vs Hogan.

OK, the guy may not have had loads of ring skills (but you could say that about many wrestlers including Hulk Hogan) but the energy he exuded was truly amazing and it whipped the crowds into a frenzy.

This DVD gives a brief outline of Warrior's career, and features some of the best WWE matches that he had (and also the stupidly short Intercontinental Title match against Honky Tonk Man). Although it is an interesting insight in the wrestler/character, I do feel it does lack a lot, and I would really like to see WWE do a DVD set like they have done with many other legends featuring promos (even if they were gibberish!), matches in WCW and more.

Despite it's shortness, I'd recommend this DVD....get your copy now!
