1. Match 1 of the Best of 7 Series for the United States Championship
Booker T (with Sharmell) vs. Chris Benoit

Survivor Series begins with a bang thanks to this very good opening match. Everyone in the Joe Louis Arena is pulling for Benoit to win, and he gives a very impressive performance despite coming up short after Booker T gets some much needed outside interference from Sharmell. 7/ 10

2. Women's Championship
Melina (with Nitro and Mercury) vs. Trish Stratus (C) (with Mickie James)

It's nice to have an interbrand match for the Women's Championship as Melina deserved to have a chance at it, and she is impressive in this match. Trish is gold as always and having Nitro and Mercury in Melina's corner and Mickie James is Trish's corner made the match that much better. This is a good match, one of the best Women's Championship matches of the year. 7/ 10

3. Last Man Standing Match
Triple H vs. Ric Flair

This is the second best match of the night and a very good match to close the Triple H/ Flair rivalry. The action spills to the outside early on and lots of weapons are used including kendo sticks, steel chairs, screwdrivers, steel steps and the sledgehammer that decides the match. There is plenty of blood and, of course, a commentator's table is destroyed. It wouldn't be a Last Man Standing match without it. 9/ 10

4. WWE Championship
Kurt Angle (with his personal referee Daivari) vs. John Cena (C)

This is an enjoyable match thanks to Angle taking out several referees and relying on Daivari not getting taken out or disqualifying Cena. Daivari does get taken out and he comes close to disqualifying Cena, and Angle's frustration improves the match. 8/ 10

5. RAW General Manager vs. Smackdown! General Manager
Eric Bischoff vs. Theodore Long

This match didn't need to be on the pay-per-view. The Boogeyman makes an appearance that doesn't do anything to improve the match and it is a waste of space. This match could have been removed and then more time could have been given to the next match. 1/ 10

6. 10-Man Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match
Team Smackdown! (Batista, JBL, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton) vs. Team RAW (Shawn Michaels, Carlito, Chris Masters, The Big Show and Kane)

This is an absolutely brilliant match, apart from the constant bickering between the RAW and Smackdown! commentators (it it amusing in places, but not when they are talking over the ring announcers). The storyline building up to the match is gold, having faces and heels on the same team for this one night where pride and bragging rights are at stake is great. Everybody in the match gives a good performance and there is lots of great teamwork. The return of The Undertaker after the match ends the pay-per-view the same way it started, on a high. 10/ 10

Survivor Series 2005 would have been perfect if the Bischoff/ Long match wasn't on the card. Apart from that, this is a flawless pay-per-view, and it is a must-buy. The Extras are not must-see material, but I like to see some Extras rather than none. They include Maria interviewing Mr. McMahon on his favourite SS moments, Kurt Angle getting angry over his loss in the Instant Access room and another appearance from The Boogeyman backstage.
