Good show, very good show even. Thoroughly enjoyable. Edge and The Undertaker put on a good match as expected. The main event was fantastic, rest of the show generally good. Overall a very good event, recommended.

John Cena vs JBL vs Randy Orton vs HHH

Preety basic ppv but still good.

MVP put his united states title on the line agianst matt hardy in a fun back and forth match and it would be matt who would win this match and the title. match rating 3 *** 1/4

Chavo gurreo fought kane in a decent match for the ecw title but it was a lot better than their 8 second match at wrestlemania the previous month kane would win thsi match and retain his ecw title. match rating 2** 1/4

Big show fought the great khali in an actually good match considering it was two big men fighting each other and big show would win by hitting a chokeslam to great khali. match rating 2** 1/2

Batistia would take on shawn michaels with chris jericho as teh special guest referee in a match because shawn retired batistias friend ric flair at wrestlemania the previous month and jericho suffered beatings from both these two on raw and smackdown.
This match was very good a bit slow at times but still very good and enjoyable.
match rating 3*** 1/2

12 diva tag match was next and this was just another old diva match but preety good for the time they were given. match rating 2**

Undertaker would deend his wiorld heavyweight title against edge in a very good match which undertker would win by making edge tap out to hells gate. match rating 3*** 3/4

Randy orton would defend his wwe title ina fatal four way elimination match agianst jbl, john cena and triple h in a classic match where triple h would win the wwe title by eliminating the champion and his arch enemy randy orton. match rating 4****

Overall this ppv was preety good not amazing but average and good 7/10

I may have given this 3 stars but it still can fill a hole if you aint got anything on.
The 10th annual Backlash event aint the best Backlash but still has some good matches starting with Matt Hardy vs. MVP. The card is standerd for the era. A couple of big single matches including one of the many matches between Edge and Undertaker. We get to see a rare fixture between HBK and Batsta which is done well. The main event is a fatel four way match which is the best match by far. Some cool spots in the match that are worth a watch. Extras are poor on this dvd i have to say but it is worth a watch.

well what can i say probably the worst dvd in my wwe collection however it is a small collection.

match 1. matt hardy vs mvp for the united states championship. probably the second worst match on hear but then not at all a bad match. not the best way to start an event even if it was for a belt but definatley worth watching after a very entertaining rivalry. match rating 2.5/5

match 2. chavo guerrero vs kane. better than the first match on the dvd because it was much more fast flowwing and had more excitment. agian worth watching. match rating 3/5

match 3. the great khali vs the big show. without a doubt the worst match on the dvd. there was nothing there that entertained me so it was a rather dull match. match rating 1/5

match 4. batista vs (hbk) shawn michaels with chris jericho as the guest ref. this match turned out rather well as it was better than the first 3 matches on the disc but still not the best! match rating 4/5

match 5. 12 divas tag match. a suprisingly good match as it was probably the best diva tag match that i have ever seen. match rating 3.5/5

match 6. edge vs the undertaker. a match that lived up to expectation and was really entertaining. there was some blood at the end but nothing to get excited about. match rating 4.5/5

match 7. triple h vs jbl vs john cena vs randy orton (fatal four way elimination match) the main event that was definatley the best of the night but then not the best match that i have ever seen as i could have predicted the winner so it was a bit of a dissapointment however a very good match. match rating 5/5

so there it is BACKLASH 2008 and my overall rating is : 2.5/5 so not the best ppv ever but i supose that it is worth watching however i would reccomend two choices.
1. wait for it to go on sale.
or
2. buy another wwe dvd form silvervision!

Not bad, but really nothing good either.
The most matches are OK.
The match between Khali and Big Show is not OK. (Why have a match between two giants? The purpose with a giant is the height/size-difference.)
The Divas makes a 12-woman-tag match work very well.
I love the concept Fatal Fourway, but how stupid can wrestlers be? Why not team up? In a Triple Threat you can't do that, but in a Fatal 4way you can. This match could have been done so much better.
The best match is Michaels vs Batista. Not a classic, but worth watching twice.

I've really enjoyed this DVD, even if it wasn't so particularly special. I loved the Fatal Four Way Elimination Match and I loved to see Jericho as the special referee. Big Show vs. Great Khali was a very bad match, exactly what I expected from these two "wrestlers". Talking about the segments, you gotta love the way Randy speaks to his opponents! So nasty! =) Oh, and by the way: WONDERFUL, AWESOME SONG! All Summer Long by Kid Rock!!!

This is a gr........ well its a ok wwe dvd, seeming how the ppv wasnt that good. Although it did has some amazing matches, 12 diva tag team match, big show vs khali, hbk vs. batista (refere Chris Jerico) A world title match were edge was took out on a strecher and a fatel four way, the fatel 4 way was ok, I think it was stupid how somone went to put somone through the anouncers desk, it never happend (how annoying). Randy Ortan getting his back slamed into the steel steps was a very hard smack, so ok. Overall rating for the dvd 7/10
